After having any body repairs, we would like to give you some general aftercare tips to ensure longevity and quality of the repairs.
Avoid Washing Immediately:
Give the repaired area some time to cure before washing your vehicle. Typically, it's advisable to wait at least a week.
Hand Wash Only:
When you do wash your vehicle, use a mild soap and water. Avoid automatic car washes, as the brushes and chemicals can be too harsh on the fresh paint.
Be Gentle:
If you need to remove dirt or bird droppings, use a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the paint.
Avoid Waxing Initially:
Wait at least 30 days before applying wax to the repaired area. This allows the paint to fully cure.
Protect from the Elements:
Park your vehicle in the shade whenever possible to protect it from the sun's harmful UV rays. This helps prevent fading and damage to the fresh paint.
Check for Damage:
Regularly inspect the repaired area for any signs of damage or issues. Catching problems early can prevent more extensive damage and help you address them promptly.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
Refrain from using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the repaired area.
Mind Temperature Extremes:
Avoid exposing the repaired area to extreme temperature changes. This includes both hot and cold conditions. Extreme temperatures can affect the curing process of the paint.
Drive Carefully:
Be cautious while driving, especially in the initial days after the repair. Avoid unnecessary exposure to road debris and gravel that could potentially damage the fresh paint.
